Love is War

A world that doesn’t exist, A world
that is in a dimension far more different than ours, a world where souls lives
in the outskirt of our bodies as demons that can take any form. There in this
odd world live two nations. These nations once lived in harmony until one of
their kinds was endangered by the other nation causing war. Between these two
nations lived two lovers. A love that could never be, for they were from
different nations and were never allowed to see each other ever again. As these
two lovers grew from children to adults they realized how in love they were in.
They would secretly meet in a faraway
place, places where anybody could feel like a king or queen of their own
kingdom. A place where they could leave the war behind, it’s almost as if they
had been implanted into a different world. A world with no worries, a world
with no fighting, a world with only peace and prosperity. As they fell in love
in this world that seemed to be forgotten, their souls also seemed to have
fallen in love in a way that was not possible. Who ever thought that souls can
love? They were only meant to keep the lovers alive till the very end. I guess
love does cross the balance between life and death.
As the two lovers continued to secretly meet,
the war came to its peak. The generals would have their only children fight to
the end, in this case, the two lovers. As they both get ready for battle all they
can think about is “Should I fight and kill my only lover for the honor of my
nation, or shall I stand down and admit this war is not worth fighting for?”
The announcement had been made. The two lovers walked into the arena frozen,
afraid to take a step further. The crowd stomped their feet’s and chanted loud
booms. The lovers charged at each other and fought. “Cling! Clank!” the swords
intercepted, the battle had begun.
A war between two nations, a War
between two lovers, a war that might not be worth fighting for. As they
continue to cling to their swords this is what ran in their heads, until one
lover could not stand the pressure and killed the one he loves. The sword
struck straight into her heart and before she could travel to the next world
all she spoke of was “why?” The father filled with grief fell to his knees and
cried on her bloody chest. The lover could never forgive himself and kept
asking the same question “Is love really a war worth fighting for?”
